Will My Child Automatically Get Free Meals at School?

The Office of Child Nutrition in Fayette County Public Schools is excited to announce that we will serve 52 Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) schools in the 2023-24 school year. At these locations, all students will get school meals at no charge, regardless of family income or completion of a form. This year three more sites are now eligible to participate: Brenda Cowan Elementary, Henry Clay High School, and Paul Laurence Dunbar High School.

If your child attends one of the remaining 15 schools not covered by CEP, your family can still apply for free/reduced meal assistance based on household income or other federally approved assistance programs.

Non-CEP Schools:

Elementary: Athens-Chilesburg, Cassidy, Clays Mill, Garrett Morgan, Maxwell, Rosa Parks, Stonewall, Veterans Park, and Wellington

Middle: Beaumont, Edythe J. Hayes, Jessie Clark, and SCAPA at Bluegrass

High: Lafayette

Other: STEAM Academy

If you think your family might qualify and you have not yet received an approval letter, please visit Meal Assistance Programs to see more details and to start the process. That webpage also includes a full list of the 52 CEP schools.
